To be responsible for the scientific work (analysis and reporting of results) conducted with fish pathogens.

Main tasks for the position:

Participate in the establishment of a functional microbiological laboratory in Suzhou.

Conduct standard microbiological analytical tests in order to be able to identify microbiological characteristics (phenotype & genotype).

Write protocols, reports and technical documents in a timely manner for team work progress.

When appropriate, participate during sampling of bacterial isolates from commercial fish farms in China.

Once experienced, be willing to become a project leader for vaccine development within fish aquaculture..

Present research data at scientific conferences.

Education:Ph.D./Master degree in the field of Veterinary Medicine/Aquaculture preferably within Aquatic microbiology).

Experience:

Good knowledge of the Chinese aquaculture industry and academic institutions.

Experience in microbiological laboratory work and procedures.

Experience in standard serological characterization techniques of microorganisms (i.e Western blotting; Elisa; agglutination etc).

With 1-3 years work experience in related field is a plus
