Goal of the position
§ Responsibility for the development of Sales and Profits in the Industrial optics business line in a defined region
Main tasks
§ Expansion of business (sales, profit) for industrial optics in the area of responsibility
§ Support and development of key and high-turnover customers and distribution partners
§ Development and strengthening of the company's position in the market (technical and business ends)
§ Independent development, care, and strategic expansion of selected customer segments as well as important customers
o Technical consulting and marketing of products
o Acquisition of new customers and sales partners/distributors
o Preparation of offers
o Negotiation and conclusion of sales contracts
o Care, support, development, and expansion of existing customer relationships including customer visits and participation in customer events nation-wide
o Responsibility for industrial optics sales and profits
§ Analysis of markets and development of market potentials
§ Implementation of the sales and marketing strategies
o Sales forecasts
o Pricing
o Management of the product portfolio in the region
o Internal and external communications
§ Independent planning, control, and management of projects
o Provision of sales and technical support for customer-specific projects
o Examination and assessment of the economic and technical feasibility of projects
Scope of contacts with persons inside and outside the company
§ In-house contacts: All departments including Development, Marketing, SCM, CSC, IPC
§ Contacts outside the company: Customers, distributors, suppliers, associations, customer associations
Qualification profile: Education
§ Successfully completed qualification in economics, industrial engineering or university/university of applied science. Ideally specializing in the fields of optics, physics, mechanical engineering, precision engineering
§ 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in sales of technical products

§ Ability to work independently on complex tasks and extensive projects and to control work processes
§ Sound understanding in the technical and business aspects of the field of industrial optics and optical filters
§ High level of initiative and commitment and the ability to act in a pronounced goal- and company-oriented manner
§ Self-confident bearing, assertiveness, and communication and negotiating skills also in dealing with high-ranking contacts
§ Very good knowledge of PC applications (MS Office, SAP, CRM systems)
§ Good English language skills
§ Willingness to travel on business locally and internationally
§ Driver's license
