Introduction:
The Marketing and Business Intelligence Analyst owns and evaluates business’ statistics, as well as industry and competition studies, to make sure of the current, up-to-date and comprehensive understanding of organization and leadership on our current position, so as to support and justify decision-making processes, marketing planning and business strategies, with the final goal to improve company’s market position and competitiveness. They will also look into the intelligence-relevant processes and practices for improvement towards efficiency and effectiveness.
The capabilities of connecting the dots, data for insights, attention to details are fundamental, whereas collaborative attitude and original thinking are success factors for this role. Ideal candidate should also be equipped with China insights and people skills.
Responsibilities:
Business Intelligence (Interface with management and sales team)
- Consider ways to develop, optimize and maintain guidelines and processes regarding data collection, qualification and management, including ensuring integrity of data use
- Advise viable ways to improve data quality,such as optimization of SCRM and Marketing automation tool configuration, mapped with lead journey and sales operations
- Break down and sort out series of complex sales, accounts and project data and bits of information, to view and analyze business situations from multiple perspectives, to generate conclusions and deep dive into root causes for what are projected, so as to provide solid basis on how to enhance marketing and sales investment and business performance。
Market Intelligence (Interface with macro/micro industries and customer segments)
- Capture dynamics and trends of general social economic and political environment; regulations and policies for demographic and geographic factors that influence business
- Profile comprehensive industry and customer segments models including market sizing, growth projections and trends, and market forces and etc.
- Conduct in-depth analysis on customer groups including buying powers, stakeholder and decision-making mapping and etc.
Competition Study (Interface with competitor)
- Monitor competitors’ move, conduct competitor study and analysis to generate understanding of our competitors’ marketing approach, product portfolio and pricing strategies, relay the information and insights to Management and Marketing team through presentations and reports for effective strategic and tactical decision-making and implementation.
Reports and Intelligence Communications (interface with internal)
- Own and produce regular reports to management to foster better understanding on markets and business pain points
- Initiate and maintain marketing newsletters to keep internal teams and functions acknowledged, informed and connected with knowledge sharing of industry dynamics, customer needs and market trends and best practices.

Skills
- Can work effectively with Salesforce, Marketo, Power BI
- Competent with MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel, or Mac equivalents
- Versed in written and spoken English and general communication skills
