Responsibilities: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
? Checks all coding done by physicians to ensure proper coding.
? Codes services of questionable/new items and reviews proper coding with coding supervisor.
? Review medical records and assign ICD-10-CM (Diagnosis) and CPT (Pricing) codes, based on episode of care and physician documentation, performs data abstracting and statistical reporting.
? Collaborates with physicians, clinical department providers and administrative staff to provide technical assistance for coding questions and to achieve accurate billing and reimbursement levels.
