Since late 1970s, Taylor Wessing has built up a boutique China practice and since early 1990s, a solid foothold in Shanghai by setting up a representative office there. The fast growing Beijing office was established in 2008.

Job description
We are looking for a suitable associate for our Beijing office. The selected candidate would be engaged in the following legal works, mainly in the areas of corporate law and commercial law:

• Preparation of legal memos
• Drafting of contract and other legal documents
• Legal due diligence
• Experienced in corporate/M&A and FDI transactions

Who are we looking for
The qualified candidate will be a highly motivated, independent and service oriented individual, a hardworking self-starter as well as team player willing to work under pressure in delivering professional support in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Law degree at top law schools in China, overseas study at reputable law schools will be an advantage;
• Thorough knowledge of PRC corporate law and contract law;
• 3-4 years work experience in a major PRC or international law firm;
• Excellent oral and written English skills;
• Diligent and conscientious working style;
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
• Dedicated, self-motivated and with good team spirit;
• PRC bar;
• Anti-trust background is a plus
