Position: Director of Sales & Marketing, APAC
Reports To: General Manager APAC
Supervises: Regional Sales Manager (SEA)
Country Manager (Vietnam)
Country Managers (China, India, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand) only in Sales and Marketing functions
Basic Functions:
- Sales activities of MP’s life science and diagnostic products for the assigned territory.
- Develops and implements short- & long-term Sales objectives & Strategies.
- Sales Management
- Sales and Marketing Expense Budgets
- Manage Marketing to conduct market research and market development activities
- Customer Relationship Management
Duties:
– Responsible for meeting agreed sales objectives.
– Manages the promotional mix, distribution tactics and training programs to launch new products effectively and in timely manner.
– Formulates and implements sales plans for product portfolio in line with the agreed Marketing Plan.
– Identifies, selects, motivates and manages customers with particular emphasis on key territories and customers.
– Manages the generation of sales from customers and prompt collection of payment from customers.
– Develops direct contacts with end-users and understand how and why they use products.
– Evaluates opportunities to establish MP Bio sales organization with in key territories.
– Defines, implements and manages sales and expense budget, sales performances and profitability for assigned territories and major accounts.
– As a member of the Commercial Operations team, provides significant contribution to the development of strategic business and marketing plans and objectives.
– Manages, motivates and set goals and objectives for all direct reports.
– Responsible for direct reports career planning, annual performance assessment and objectives.
Minimum qualification Requirements:
– Ability to: Highly self-motivated, achievement oriented and have excellent communication and presentation skills
– Knowledge of: Life Science market, Diagnostic market, diagnostic products, product management, market research, product registration, measurement of customer satisfaction. International marketing and sales experience in Asia, Europe and USA, an added advantage
– Education: MSc and above in Science & post graduate marketing qualification is desirable
– Experience: 5 years of relevant sales experience in diagnostic testing, biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry
