Responsibilities
§ Lead localization project
o Learn and track new product features with Globalization impact
o Supervise and support vendor engineering team for localization testing, especially for the team to
§ Set up and configure testing environment
§ Develop test plans, test matrices, and test cases
§ Execute L10N test cases
§ Analyze test results, generate test report and create defect list
o Review test report and defect list for the appropriate priority and severity and category. Assign English
product and internationalization defects in bug tracking system for product development teams
o Work with vendors to fix localization defects
§ Automate localization testing
o Create end-to-end test scripts to cover 100% of the product UI, independently of the product interface
language
o Expand existing test scripts, with internationalization (e.g. regional formatting, non-English characters,
time-zones etc.) and localization (translated UI) cases
o Integrate test cases with reporting and CI systems
o Work with the product development teams to identify test cases that will bring most value if automated
Qualifications
§ Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical major from an accredited
institution
§ 7+ years of related industry experiences in software development, quality assurance or automation
§ Expertise in the field of internationalization and localization engineering or testing
§ Experience of automation frameworks/tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Protractor, Robot or Microsoft UIA
§ Experience with writing code in JavaScript and Java or C#, and willing to learn new technologies
§ Experience with continuous integration and process management tools and such as Jenkins, JIRA is a plus
§ Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
§ A team leader working well with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams, highly result-driven and
self-motivated individual
§ Good understanding of Agile development process
§ Knowledge of Veritas products is a plus
