Job title: Sr. Global Logistics Coordinator

Description of Essential Functions:

• Support the movement of outbound products from Asia flow through True Value’s 4PL’s ocean freight consolidation centers in Shenzhen and Shanghai and factory stuffed Full Container loads from Asia including expedited shipments.

• Monitor both vendor and 4PL performance as it relates to the supply chain, identify root cause issues for delays and communicate findings to the proper internal departments within True Value.

• Collaborate on a regular basis with U.S. teams including International Transportation, Inventory Planning, Quality Assurance and Global Sourcing to insure efficient and timely shipment and issue resolution.

• Engage with 4PL with CFS consolidation DPO planning. Identifies and reports on origin product shortages delivered and consolidated to CFS warehouse and processes and tracks damage claims with vendors and consolidate warehouse to final resolution.

• Manage China vendor supply base and act as in-country resident expert to answer vendor export questions for both member direct shipments to global areas and U.S. inbound product. Assist with the onboarding of new vendors into the True Value consolidated shipping program.

  Stays abreast of current China events and regulatory changes that could impact the supply chain and effectively communicates changes to internal partners and upper management.

  Oversee partnerships with 4PL, Ocean Carriers, vendors, taking a lead role with new factory/vendor onboarding, ocean carrier on-boarding. Collaborate with 4PL to reduce the CFS dwell time to sail date.

  Support with Network Optimization to reduce transportation cost with focus on the following areas.

a) Container size optimization and cube utilization by converting 40GP container use to 40HC

b) Increased DPO container cube utilization – target review and revised container planning

c) Vendor Cube Utilization increases – target review of low cube utilization CY vendors and work with inventory team & vendor to increase container planning thresholds.

• Supports True Value’s ethical, social and supply chain security initiatives including but not limited to: C-TPAT Compliance, Quality Assurance, Denied Party List, FCPA and Social Responsibility.

• In collaboration with U.S. Import Compliance team members, performs factory site visits to ensure

C-TPAT compliance.

• Perform monthly analysis and reporting using 4PL’s portal system on vendor delivery performance, inventory forecasting.

• Develop, maintain and publish KPI's and other reporting needs on a regular basis. Develop dashboards that can be visually and analytically leveraged by True Value to quickly compare trends.

• Performs other related duties

Position Qualifications:

• 7-10 years of experience in the Freight Forwarding/ Logistics / Transportation industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in the freight forwarding/logistics industry.
• Excellent communication skills in English language both written and oral.
• Proven leadership in a comparable environment.
• Decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills. PC skills including proficiency in use of MS Outlook, Word, & Excel.
