FUNDAMENTAL PURPOSE - Identify, develop, implement and direct the organization and marketing strategies for Industrial Coatings Asia Pacific SPS Technology

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES –

1. Support the Global SPS Manger to develop Global SPS strategy, roadmap and NPI Launch in line with Industrial Coatings business plan

2. Maximize enterprise value through strategic Product Life Cycle management

3. Drive change in the methods utilized to go to market, across product lines, through pro-active leadership in areas such as Leverage point and Value Selling.

4. Establish and review pricing policies and strategies that ensure that the true value of the products and services are identified. Ensure that regional pricing policies and global customer pricing disciplines for existing and new businesses are implemented.

5. Conduct market and competitiveness analysis through the region ensuring that PPG is positioned with product and business strategies supporting both short term and long term Profit Plans.

6. Manage the SPS product lines in terms of coverage, cost, and supply chain and create/drive localization and rationalization initiatives.

7. Implement market analysis tools to keep up with market trends and customer .In particular ensure availability of market data, competitor profiles, customer profiles and specific area information

8. Establish Pricing & Margin Strategy based on market/competitive conditions and product value to customer. Work with customer teams, purchasing and technical to define price parameters and profit expectations. Establish and implement action plans to deliver the value every year. Define and implement elaborated reporting to better understand margin evolution and impacts of price, RM, Mix and volumes

9. Define, challenge and monitor MGPP activities to continuously defend PPG Margins in the business.

Requires: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field is required of the incumbent with an additional five years of Industrial technical / sales / marketing experience. Excellent communication skills which includes presentation abilities are also mandatory for the incumbent. Strong market, customer and financial awareness are necessary. Ability to create a vision, develop concepts and to mobilize resources effectively to bring products from initiation through manufacture and sale. Traveling will be necessary in this position to establish and promote new business, attend internal and external customer meetings to expand market penetration through-out the Asia Pacific region.
