Responsibility:

In close collaboration with engineering team and other research members, to develop prototype of advanced product features, which helps to accelerate the implementation, to mitigate the development risks (ex: technology, design, algorithm) and to define the primary specifications.

Activities:

• Design algorithms for advanced product features under research phase
• Prototype applications of the algorithms to investigate and demonstrate their feasibility
• Document research results including key findings, collected data, applied methodology, tested algorithms and primary specification proposal for product development
• Support the implementation of research proven algorithms by the development teams
• Design and co-implement domain concepts and algorithms into reusable (future proof, technology insensitive) software modules
• Explore innovative ideas might adding competitive advantage to products
• Participate in concept exploration projects with internal and external partners
• Active tracking of new ideas, algorithms, patents, articles in the field of radiotherapy

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to translate physics and mathematical concepts into product prototype
• Proven ability to understand and learn the details of complex physics and mathematics algorithms
• Programming skill (ex: C++, C#, Java) is required
• Experience in data science is an asset
• Radiotherapy knowledge and experience is a plus
