Design and Technology (D&T) technicians usually work as part of a team with teachers, teaching assistants and other support staff and play a crucial role in supporting and improvement of students’ learning experience. They can also support science, IT as well as design and technology teachers by preparing equipment and materials and helping in practical lessons.

机械设计助教通常情况下，会与任课老师及助教共同工作，在支持、改进学生的学习体验方面发挥重要作用。同时，助理也会支持科学、IT、设计与技术老师，协助他们准备仪器、设备及材料，并在学生的实践中提供帮助。

主要职责Main duties and responsibilities:

• To maintain Design Department tools and equipment.维护设计部门工具和设备。
• To prepare, set up equipment and materials for workshop classes as per teacher’s lesson plans/requests. 依照老师上课计划/需求，准备、设置上课所需材料。
• To ensure cleanliness in the classroom, including maintenance.确保教室清洁，包括维护。
• To investigate and advise on the supply of materials and liaise with purchasing department.调查和建议所需供应材料并与采购部门联系。
• To ensure that periodic safety testing of electrical equipment is carried out.确保电气教学设备定期安全检测。
• To become familiar with health and safety issues as they apply to Design Technology within school and assist the Head of Department in their implementation.熟悉健康和安全问题，协助部门经理在学校内应用工艺设计进行解决。
• Other tasks allocated by superiors.其他上级安排的工作。

任职需求Demands of the position:

• Bachelor of Design Technology or other relevant majors.机械设计、工艺设计、物理、数学、科学或其他相关理工类学士学位。
• Experience using and maintaining a range of machine tools and handheld power tools.有使用和维护各种机械工具和手持电动工具的经验。
• Knowledge of correct health & safety procedures when working with machine tools and handheld tools.有正确、健康和安全使用机械工具和手持电动工具程序的知识。
• Willingness to help during lessons to help supervise and assist the teacher when necessary.在有需要的时候，愿意在课堂上协助并帮助老师进行监督。
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.良好的英语书面和口头沟通技巧。
• Preferred in international school.有国际学校相关工作经验优先。
