Vortex Fire (www.vortexfec.com) specialises in providing independent code consultancy and fire safety engineering consultancy services to save lives, protect property and preserve the environment. Vortex Fire is part of LIVE Consulting Group with offices located strategically in UAE, Australia and Canada.

To support our current workload, we are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated fire safety engineer to work on a variety of projects in our Dubai office.

The candidate must have tertiary qualifications in fire safety engineering, preferably with relevant technical experience.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Fluent in both English and Mandarin (written and verbal);
• Perform fire engineering calculations such as occupant load calculations, CFD modelling, human egress modelling, etc.;
• Have advance computing skills in MS Office applications;
• Have good awareness of building codes, knowledge of NFPA or BCA is preferred but not essential;
• Undertake code compliance review of projects and developing fire safety strategies;
• Work with other senior fire engineers to meet project deliverables;
• Possess good report writing skills and communication skills.
• Liaison with design team, clients and authorities.
