FICO’s Pre-Sales Consultants are solution experts; they conduct business needs assessments, functionality discovery with clients, and perform solution and product demonstrations across China Region.

• Engage with clients and prospects consultatively to understand their needs and pain points, and define and propose viable solutions based on FICO’s software, services and business consulting with a clear focus on business value and customer satisfaction

• Develop and maintain a breadth and depth of knowledge on the functional and technical elements of FICO software products

• Create and deliver presentations and demonstrations; contribute written content (covering functional/technical/domain aspects) for RFQ, RFI and RFP responses; contribute to and lead client workshops

• Continually expand your domain knowledge of business processes in FICO’s core vertical industries and horizontal application areas

• Understand your client’s business, industry context and market pressures

• Plan, execute and manage targeted proofs of concept with well-defined success criteria

• Manage a portfolio of client opportunities and actively contribute to the progression of each

• Contribute to demand generation activities such as marketing events, webinars, blogs and white papers.

• Bachelor degree or higher, ideally in a subject such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Operations Research

• A solid understanding of business-to-consumer (B2C) customer/risk management processes in the financial services, consumer finance, motor finance, or retail credit industries

• Significant experience working either:

• representing customer management solutions as a pre-sales consultant, solution architect, or software engineer
• in-house in financial services or related industry as a strategy consultant, portfolio manager or decision systems leader, ideally in horizontal capabilities such as Decision Management or Business Process Management ‘in house’ as a Risk Technologist for a blue-chip financial services client
• Hands on technical skills, for example with decision engine technology
• A track record of delivering success in an entrepreneurial environment

• Desirable practical experience of software packages falling into the following categories:

• Business Rule Management Systems (e.g. FICO Blaze Advisor or IBM ODM or JBOSS Drools or others)
• Packages for Business Process Management (BPM) Rapid Application Development (RAD); and Business Intelligence (BI)

• Desirable experience with a wide range of industry standard technologies such as Java, J2EE, web technologies such as HTML/JavaScript, relational databases, middleware technologies such as Weblogic, WAS, Tomcat , Windows/Linux systems

• Be passionate about the ability of technology, advanced analytics, and know how, to deliver tangible business results to your clients

• Be a strong communicator and have excellent written language, verbal, and presentation skills

• Flexible in working time

• Ability to travel significantly (>50%)

• Fluent both in English and Chinese skills.
