Role description

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the regional Marketing Manager to execute a comprehensive marketing program to support the regional sales and retention objectives. The Marketing Specialist will work closely with Sales and Account Management, Market Development to execute comprehensive marketing programs tailored to local market and business needs, which holistically combine thought leadership content, media initiatives, advertising, events, and digital approaches. This role contributes significantly to the delivery of business objectives by executing marketing plan in the optimal marketing mix, delivering maximum ROI aligned with core business priorities.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Translate global strategy into meaningful regional opportunity. Ensure global marketing programs are activated in the most effective and efficient way in China, tailoring messaging, content and channel strategy as necessary to accommodate regional needs.

Manage all components of the regional marketing plan. Partner with sales and account management, market development and marketing and communications colleagues to activate and measure customer-centric marketing programs to support regional growth and retention objectives.

Bring the brand to life. Activate the Refinitiv brand in the most impactful way in region, infusing the brand and values into every marketing initiative.

Keep the focus on the customer. Utilise the full marketing mix to plan and execute demand generation marketing campaigns that drive awareness, interest, consideration and ultimately purchase of Refinitiv propositions and products.

Drive results in a team environment. Leverage effective partnerships with cross-functional teams including strategy and planning, content, digital, events and external partners to deliver high quality marketing programs.

Run the business as if it’s your own. Effectively maximize ROI of marketing strategies by regularly reporting on the success of activities and using data to make decisions.

Become an expert. Maintain an understanding of the industry, market dynamics, customer challenges and Refinitiv propositions and products.


Desired education and experience

? 2 years professional marketing or business development experience, ideally within a matrixed technology or software business.

? Undergraduate degree in marketing or related field.

Required knowledge and skills

? Proven experience working with sales teams and supporting programs to drive awareness and sales; actual sales experience is highly desirable.

? Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is readily adaptable to changing market and organisational requirements.

? Ability to consistently produce results on time and within budget.

? Strong oral, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and communicate complex information to all levels of the organization.

? Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.

? Hands-on, gets-things-done approach.

? Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and marketing methodologies.

? Commitment to ensuring the team succeeds with all tasks, duties, and projects,Willingness to help a team member in need and commitment to making sure team members are informed on any developments related to projects

? Positive working attitude and personality

Additional Information

? Reporting to the regional Marketing Manager.

? Business travel across the region required. ( North of China and Shanghai)
