Position Summary:
This brand marketing role is responsible in developing and implementing HTL brand strategies and creatives throughout the organization, supporting the Director of Sales and HTL’s overseas sales and marketing offices. We're looking for a cross-functional brand marketer with an equal pairing of strategic and executional sensibilities, who can align with and provide guidance to internal marketing teams to infuse the brand into marketing communications. A passion for interior designs, furniture and furnishings is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for brand marketing project management, including collaboration, creative delivery and campaign/media management.
- Serve as the brand liaison/point of contact across all internal lines of business to drive brand standards and infuse the brand into marketing communications (look, feel, tonality, clarity of message, etc.). Teams you would work with include overseas sales & marketing offices, headquarter sales directors, and product & merchandising teams.
- Represent brand marketing in various creative and campaign briefings across the organization.
- Work directly with our internal creative teams and strategically collaborate with designers and copy writers on various projects, including print, email, digital, channel logo development, key art for events, etc.
- Work with and act as a point of contact with various suppliers including advertising agency and brand consultants.
- Responsible for budget management (planning, invoicing, budget tracking, campaign tracking, accruals, etc.).
- Responsible for presentation development and delivery to internal teams and management, as well as to external business partners.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Yes with at least 5 years in supervisory/ managerial position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing or Business Administration.
- 7+ years of brand marketing communications experience with agencies, creative departments and working across multiple lines of businesses.
Requirements and General Skills:
- Fluency in English is a must; fluency in other languages is a plus.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in working in a cross-functional environment.
- Good public speaking and presentation skills.
- Passion for marketing and advertising.
- Self-starter with an ability to problem solve as an independent thinker.
- Keen creative sensibilities with an analytical creative eye.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in newsletters and direct marketing skills are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
- Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
- Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles.
- Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
- Spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
- Creative writing ability.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of current marketing trends and multimedia platforms
- Computer skills with understanding of Internet
- Strong budgeting skills
- Willing to travel within China and overseas 30% of the time.
- Must have legal right to work in the People’s Republic of China.
Technical Skills:
Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
