Clyde & Co is recruiting for high calibre candidates for the role of Patent Assistant to join our Beijing office. The role holder will report to a local partner within the China Intellectual Property team and be an integral part of the team working to protect client patents. They will be responsible for:

• 准备中国的专利递交申请文件，包括根据中国法律修改图片/照片

  Preparing procedural documents for patent filing in China, including amending the drawings/photos according to China practice

• 处理中国专利局的官方文件，向客户汇报官方文件的内容和后续步骤

  Handling official documents from the China Patent Office, reporting to clients regarding the official documents and following defined procedures

• 维护和更新专利数据库，使用专利管理软件监控期限

  Maintaining and updating the patent database, monitoring deadlines via patent management software

• 年费管理

  Annuity management

• 专利检索

  Patent portfolio searches

• 定期检索文件并对电子邮件和其他文件进行备案

  Regular file retrieval and filing of emails and other documents

• 与财务部联络准备发票

  Coordinating with accounting department to prepare invoices

• 具备中英文双语口语和书写能力

  Must be able to speak and write both Mandarin and English

• 大专及以上学历
  A university degree is not required
