• Perform complete physical exams and assessments of patients in the Emergency Department (including urgent, emergent, and non-urgent presentation)
• Select, order and perform tests and procedures to augment physical findings
• Define/document differential diagnoses and list differential diagnoses with most likely diagnosis indicated.
• Write orders on physician order sheet for tests, procedures and the implementation and management of therapies in accordance with medical protocols. Write signature on chart based upon institutional policy
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as deemed necessary and appropriate for plan of care.
• Interpret data and diagnostic results for appropriate course of action including blood gases, radiology, ECG, etc., but not limited to these.
• Participate in education and training including medical and nursing staff.
• Participate in community events coordinated by Beijing United Hospital.
• Follow bylaws and policy and procedure of Beijing United Family Hospital.
• Following UFH’s commitment to educating the next generation of medical professionals, physicians will be responsible, as part of their ongoing duties, for mentoring, precepting, teaching and supervising UFH fellows or other relevant trainees.

1. The staff member MUST hold a medical degree from an internationally recognized medical institution.
2. The staff member should ideally hold specialist Emergency Medicine Qualifications, but if this is not the case, at least five (5) years of Emergency Medicine experience at internationally recognized and accredited institutions.
3. The staff member should be registered in his or her home country and should also possess licensing with the Beijing Medical Board.
