• Supporting the Engineering Department and Product Groups for new product introduction with existing and new suppliers.
• Improving seed to market for new products
• Technical and directional liaison between the Company and suppliers
• Works directly with product groups to ensure product and engineering design specifications are met.
• Facilitates the creation and validation of FAI (First Article Inspection) samples.
• Responsible for the development and transition to SQA’s of product specifications and required gauges/tools needed for product validation.
• Communicates with the HQ/China PG team and various vendors timely and effectively during the development of the product.
• Directs and/or participates in continuous improvement activities for existing products.
• Participation as a team member, actively working toward successful implementation and completion of team goals and objectives as directed by Management
• Train suppliers in Company's development processes and ensue "speed to market”.
• Develop and prepare reports of progress and analysis of projects as required by Management
  

• Support identification and Selection of new suppliers with SQA and scouring.
• Utilize available tools such as should be cost and 2sec lean concepts to execute strategies to meet supply management objective.

Required:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering (manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, ect.) or similar technical background.
• 3 - 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Understanding of:

• Fixtures and gauges validation and ensuring the FAIs meet all specifications

• Provide direction to suppliers leading them to meet the Company's expectations
• Able to communicate clearly with suppliers and internal team members in regards to technical requirements, terminology, etc.
• Ability to lead continuous improvement activities
• Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to new processes and systems
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively
• Tenacious personality & ability to make things happen
• Good PC skills including MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Access
