Quality Engineer (M/F)

This is a highly specialized, technical role for a growing, globally operating, UK based company in Impact Protection gear & equipment. Reporting to the Asia Quality Manager, the work location for this role is in Dongguan, China in which you will take responsibility for process quality control and new project process evaluation.

Core tasks and responsibilities

・ Develop and initiate process flow chart and key production parameter for mass production, Cooperate with OEM factory to setup process.

・ Finalize the production document, include operation introduction, inspection standard, packing introduction and process audit check list.

・ Be responsible for process qualification during PVT stage, include in Cpk analysis, MSA of measure equipment, calibration of production equipment, stability of jig and fixture.

・ Collect quality data during PVT as benchmark of mass production, include reject rate, failure mode, ensure the consistency of production to meet quality target.

・ Collect production data such as capacity, efficiency and standard working time, cooperation with sourcing team to finalize the quotation.

・ Maintains a database about FAA (DVT) and PVT trial run, make analysis for product parameter distribution.

・ Established a solid 8D process for internal production failure, include high reject rate, production monitor testing failure, solve production quality problems on-time to meet the customer requirements.

・ Make training about inspection standard and method to operator, align with design quality team about this standard consider the actual manufacturability.

・ Work closely with the Global Head of Quality to ensure processes and program priorities are well-aligned, offering support where needed.

Candidate profile to this role

Well knowledge about quality management process as well as lean manufacturing and continuous improvement at ODM factories are essential to the success of this role. Well sense of production problem solving and quick reaction, have proven experience supporting different functions including Quality/Product Development/Operations/Sales, could work flexibly and aggressively, have strong ability of self-management.

Minimum requirements To apply for this position you must possess all the following attributes:

・ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, mechanical engineering or material engineering is preferred.

・ Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacture company as quality function, preferably for a western company or well-known EMS company in China.

・ Solid knowledge of quality system, included in ISO9001/TS16949, have certification of ISO9001 internal auditor is preferred.

・ Solid knowledge of quality tool, could relative tool to solve quality issue, included 8D, QC 7 tools, have experience to make process control by SPC.

・ Have general knowledge about Lean and six-sigma, could use MSA to evaluate the measure and testing equipment.GB of six-sigma is preferred.

・ Solid knowledge of MS office;

・ Highly organized self-starter with initiative and the ability to work and excel with minimum supervision;

・ Strong communication and interpersonal skills including an excellent command of Chinese Mandarin and English on CET-4 level (minimum); Bilingual candidates will be preferred.

・ Willingness to travel to our manufacturing partners on a regular basis;

This full-time position is open to local Chinese citizens (M/F) that possess above attributes or western nationals (M/F) that are willing to work on a Chinese local salary package. Relocation packages are NOT provided.
