Job Description
Job Outline:
To develop business and partnership for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and to support the daily work of CPD team leader in projects operation, client retention, and data collection.
Qualification
Essential
- Bachelor degree or above;
- Fluent in English and Mandarin;
- Excellent communication, written and presentation skills;
- Good client and project management skills;
- Strong sales kills;
- Good networking skills, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate confidently at all levels, including the ability to deal appropriately with highly confidential matters;
- Proven event/project organization skills;
- Good computer skills, PR skills and analytical skills;
- Experiences in writing reports and budgeting;
- Knowledge in interacting with senior managers;
- 3 year’s relevant working experience;
- Experience of working in an international setting;
- Experience to use one’s own discretion and respond to issues with tact and diplomacy;
- Working with no supervision ability to prioritise workload;
- Proactive “can do” approach and ability to demonstrate initiative;
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, responding to tight deadlines in a variety of situations;
- Trustworthy and honest;
- Ability and interest to work hard;
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends or during holidays if needed.
Desirable
- Overseas study experience;
- A strong team leader who works collaboratively in a multicultural environment;
- Good command of business knowledge;
- Experience working in a leading university;
- Experience working in CPD, incubator or other business development sectors;
- Experience studying in one or more of the world’s top business schools;
- Mature and calm manner.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To identify and deliver productive and sustainable links with potential partners regionally, nationally and worldwide, promoting the university as a leading and integral part of the research and knowledge exchange community;
- To lead on the prospecting, formation, development and realisation of opportunities developed through market intelligence and well managed relationships with various levels of enterprises, organisations, public institutions and government - in close collaboration with Faculties, and other University commercial units;
- To oversee and involve in the development and delivery of projects/events/programmes-leading on project operation, relationship management, communicating effectively with colleagues, and facilitating other expert advice (e.g. contractual, IP related and legal) to successfully design, negotiate and deliver large-scale projects;
- To prepare for and advise on the development of fully-costed proposals to potential clients - taking into account all aspects of project development (e.g. costs, price, IP and delivery mechanisms).
- To deliver Press/PR/Social Media activities to build external awareness of the university’s IAO development;
- To maintain a proactive and flexible approach to delivering work objectives and assisting other members in IAO team as and when appropriate;
- To run business development and marketing activities for CPD proactively;
- To analyze and interpret management data and CPD information and produce reports;
- To participate in training and staff development schemes as trainer or trainee as appropriate;
- To maintain appropriate professional development, expertise and awareness;
- To undertake other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be required.
