1.Drive new product development for the range of KTM Floating and Trunnion ball valves, following the stage gate process within budget, scope, quality and efficiencies.
2.Organize, develop, and ensure training of product development and engineering staff is provided to meet continued product quality, performance, delivery, and technology standards. Establish and maintain effectiveness of the engineering staff through implementation of performance and career development programs insuring appropriate training.
3.Interact closely with product management and sales team Globally to understand regional requirements and incorporate them into the product programs.
4.Ability to use engineering design and analysis tools, as well as Microsoft Office software and other productivity tools; Examples include: ANSYS, Fluent, Cosmos, FEA, MathCAD, Excel, Solidworks Simulation; Experienced in the use of AutoCAD 2D drafting and Solidworks 3D solid modeling.
5.Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving abilities.
6.Knowledge of ferrous materials, especially ASTM and ISO/EN grades of steel and alloys; Carbon Steels: WCB, WCC, WC9, LCB, LCC, A105, LF2; Stainless Steels: CF8M, CF8, CF3, CF3M, 304, 316.
7.Metal seated ball valve design experience is desirable, with knowledge of performance coatings and sealing technologies for elevated temperatures. (Severe Service applications).
8.Solid understanding of API 6A, API 6D, API 608, API 598, API 607, ISO 15848, ISO 5208, ASME B16.34 and ability to incorporate these into the product programs and compliance to these standards.
