Job Description

Polycom IIC has immediate opening for a technical Project Manager. There will be a specific focus on the development of embedded software in the telecommunications/Unified Communications (UC) industry. The Project Manager will own responsibility for the release of software that will be delivered on Polycom’s full range of UC devices. These software releases will range in size from customer specific hot patches up to full feature releases supporting new hardware. The Project Manager will also be involved in the continuous improvement of development processes to improve performance and development velocity. Project Management responsibilities include: manage cross-functional teams, create and drive schedules for on-time delivery, manage 3rd party vendors and partners, manage budgets, resources and spending. Work involves daily interaction with global sites including – US, Canada, China and India.

Qualifications -

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with major coursework in information systems, computer science, or related field

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience successfully managing projects/programs that involve development and implementation of large, complex embedded software solutions

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, large and small

• Experience on working with various stakeholders to resolve project/program level technical issues

• Experience in delivering large SW releases preferred.

• Experience in Agile methodologies a must

• Experience in telecommunications endpoint equipment a plus

• Wi-Fi and proprietary wireless solutions experience desirable

• Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project working knowledge required

• SharePoint administration knowledge a plus

• Have excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)

• Have strong planning and organization skills including the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

• Candidate should have knowledge and proven experience in managing Agile development
