Apparel Development Manager – Expatriate Position

Bloch International, the leader in innovation and design for technical, high performance dance footwear and apparel, is looking for a highly talented professional to lead our apparel development department in Thailand. This exciting area requires an individual with strong project management and organizational abilities, excellent communication and collaborative skills. Must be willing to relocate to Thailand. English speaking nationalities only. Only ENGLISH resumes will be read.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee product development across all dance division apparel brands.
• Drive development team to a critical path to meet all milestones within the Apparel Calendar.
• Review tech packs / specs.
• Estimate costings to ensure products fit within target price points and margins.
• Drive fitting sessions.
• Consult on pattern/sampling direction and adjustments.
• Plan pattern room and sample room workflow
• Sourcing of new fabrications and trims in alignment with trends.
• Approve lab dyes, strike offs, and trims.
• Review workmanship meets brand quality standards.
• Review BOMs.
• Check timing and cost all styles within collection.
• Issue distributor pricing.
• Organize SMS, Photoshoot orders.
• Continuous improvement for speed to market and development efficiency.
• Product and material testing.
• Management of sample room and patternmakers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Minimum 5-year work experience at management level in Product Development.
• Strong initiative, drive and enthusiasm with the ability to work unsupervised
• Strong technical and patternmaking skills.
• Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign CC
• People person able to communicate in a professional manner and build relationships across all levels of management and departments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Global travel required. Must have a valid passport.
