To strengthen our Enterprise Software team located in Bali, we are looking for a Technical Writer with solid experience in the Software Development area. As a Technical Writer, you will a part of the Enterprise Software Documentation team, working daily with the development teams, product owners and other stakeholders.

Your responsibilities

• Producing complete product documentation to facilitate technical understanding of ABB products.
• Planning, editing, writing and developing complete set of technical documents for the customers.
• Providing sufficient information and content in written (or other) form regarding the product so it can be understood and used by the recipient.
• Performing writing tasks for technical documents, such as user manuals, installation manuals, online help system topics, and tutorials.
• Coordinating the approval process for the technical documentation.
• Organizing reviews and ensuring documentation meets customer requirements.
• Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

• A University degree in relevant domain.
• More than 4 years of experience in Documentation area for enterprise class software solutions.
• At least 2+ years experience with the following tools: Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, , an HTML editing tool (Dreamweaver or equivalent), and a graphics or screen capture tool.
• At least 2+ years of with Content Development Software such as MadCap Flare (preferable), Adobe Robohelp , or AuthorIt
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS technologies and working in an XML editor.
• Strong knowledge of technical writing principles.
• Understanding of Agile software development processes and principles is an asset.
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong written and verbal English communication skills.
