ABB's High Voltage Products team provides products which help enhance the safety, reliability and efficiency of power networks while minimizing environmental impact. Our technology leadership continues to facilitate developments in areas such as ultra-high-voltage power transmission, enabling smart grids and enhancing eco-efficiency.

You will be the support person for Capacitor Bank testing and verification activities on a range of assignments in the Power Grids business in Thailand. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for executing testing activities according to schedule and in line with relevant quality and safety guidelines.

Your responsibilities

• Conducting test protocols as assigned to ensure the products and systems that are created by the local organization meet specifications.
• Utilizing safety systems to perform work, resulting in an accident-free workplace.
• Notifying others when unsafe situations are observed and works with local safety teams to improve the safety systems.
• Working with department staff to improve existing test protocols and capability, resulting in greater efficiency, accuracy, and/or reliability of test outcomes.
• Assisting with the creation and implementation of, and ensuring conformance with, instructions, guidelines and procedures to drive standardization and consistent execution in delivery of customer requirements.
• Assisting with the analysis and communication of customer perceptions to guide the local improvement actions toward greater customer satisfaction.

Your background

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• More than 3 years of experience in Quality Management or Power Product Testing.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong English communication skills.
