ABB Inc. is seeking a Benefits Delivery Manager US/PR residing within the Global Business Service (GBS) US HR Shared Services department (GBS US FO) located in Cary, NC. This position will report to the Senior Compensation & Benefits Delivery Manager for US/PR. The role is responsible for the management, design, implementation, communication, and evaluation of all Health & Welfare benefits for US/PR. The position is responsible to manage cost center fiduciary controls and make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, and justifiable in accordance to organization policies and procedure.
Your responsibilities
- Manage the employee benefit plans including but not limited to flexible spending accounts, medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance and wellness programs.
- Make recommendations to Benefits Committees as appropriate.
- Manage outsourced vendor partner relationships including evaluating vendor performance, recommending renewal or bid solicitation process as appropriate, ensuring contract terms and performance guarantees are met.
- Manage overall wellness strategy and administration for company employees.
- Assist in the design and evaluation of union benefit plans as part of contract negotiation process.
- Work closely with Finance and Legal to ensure compliance with necessary financial reporting and controls as well as applicable benefit program laws and regulations related to ERISA, IRS Code Section 125, PPACA, COBRA and HIPAA.
- Responsible for the design and/or coordination of effective orientation programs/processes related to the benefits practice.
- Assist supporting organization wide initiatives.
- Assist with merger & acquisition activities, including integration related initiatives.
- Manage and develop internal team.
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree or related experience including a minimum of 6 years of experience in design, management, and administration of employee benefit programs.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
- Master’s degree on Human Resources and related fields is preferable.
- Benefits certifications (CEBS) preferred
- Plan design, administration, RFP and service provider selection experience.
- Experience with mergers & acquisitions and related integration activities.
- Experience in a large, complex, global, corporate environment preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in benefit design, budget planning, compliance, funding, administration and communications.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner ensuring timely completion of assigned projects.
- Ability to be detail oriented as might be required in the examination of numerical data or plan information.
- Develop creative and proactive solutions to day-to-day and event-based problems and engage in solutions to process challenges.
