The Resource Manager (ELIS) Planning & Fulfillment Specialist will demonstrate accountability for effective use of EPIS Field Service resources, and developing optimal resource solutions for meeting the needs of our EPIS customers. In this role, you will be responsible for resource management and support processes across the organization, the development and implementation of improvement projects within functional area of expertise, support short-term and long-term resource planning, and provide support and guidance to other members of the Resource Planning team.
Your responsibilities
- Analyze resource utilization data and develop plans to improve
- Compare customer demands and FS skills database, and identify critical skills gaps. Develop training /development plans to close gaps.
- Work with District and Regional Management teams to ensure adherence to proper Resource Management processes – including strict utilization of MSA tools.
- Review historic billable hour and sales trends to forecast future resource requirements
- Escalate conflicting resource needs. Facilitate leadership discussions to resolve issues.
- Develop short and long-term forecast for scheduling of resources
- Develop and coordinate advanced level training activities to support business growth and address critical skills gaps
- Manage and leverage surge resources to help EPIS fulfill during peak demand periods
- Revise FE Training and Onboarding to reduce cycle time before FE is billable.
- Provide assistance to regional employees and service managers related to tools and systems utilized in resource planning, tracking and reporting
- Assist in developing Region staffing plans including skills, quantity and locations
- Key member of the region leadership team to ensure optimum utilization and movement of resources as required to meet/exceed overall business goals and objectives
- Act as a North American operations team member supporting development of tools, training and methods for overall field service business optimization
Your background
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 10 years field service or operations experience
- Previous resource management experience
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States.
