Your responsibilities

  • Implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy and regional/global Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing (CIPS) strategy, ensuring that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
  • Implementing programs to drive improvement in cost, quality and delivery.
  • Utilizing the Pro-Supply global supplier relationship management platform, according to relevant procedure, both related to sharing of supplier information and to finding existing high-performing suppliers to ABB.
  • Leading the planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost, budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts.
  • Overseeing buying activities to ensure buyers minimize risk in terms of quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with ABB guidelines.
  • Leveraging CIPS category teams locally, regionally and globally to ensure appropriate supplier selection.
  • Monitoring internal and supplier performance (KPIs), quality issues and development actions while proactively working to resolve issues related to procurement cost, quality and delivery.

Your background

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Administration.
  • More than 5 years of experience in manufacturing, working as Procurement & Logistic Agent/Specialist/Lead
  • Demonstrated experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Spanish and English level advanced
  • Available to travel 30% of the time.
  • CPIM Certified Preffered
