Supports ELIS business for the daily shipment planning and execution ensuring cost, quality and on time delivery to its internal / external customers.Principal responsibilities include: logistics support and execution and ownership of the overall transaction.This role will be the business interface and point of contact for the Manufacturing Plants and Distribution Center teams, the Sales and Customer Operations, as well as external 3rd parties that support the end-to-end logistics processes to ensure compliance with all internal and external requirements and regulations.This role reports to the Head of Logistics & Trade Services.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and improve transport logistics processes to optimize inbound / outbound product and material delivery
  • Coordinate daily activities to track location and movement of goods via all transport routes and re-routes as needed to meet all transportation demands and minimize cost
  • Communicates fulfillment status to Sales and Customer Ops
  • Provide accurate shipping invoices and related export / import documents to all customers, shipping agents and other related parties
  • Works closely with transport service providers and brokers to ensure efficient and effective execution process, assists in obtaining necessary transport permits and codes and prepares proper shipping documentation to support compliant movement of goods, including export-import requirements, where required
  • Coordinate and record material movements and provide proper custody and control until delivery terms have been fulfilled
  • Be responsible for understanding all standard operating procedures as it applies to the export platform TradeSphere
  • Comply with established financial guidelines and provide for the timely execution of all transactions,
  • Resolve post shipment inquiries and claims
  • Control and improve data accuracy of logistics tracking system

Your background

  • Education:College degree from an accredited university,
  • Experience:5+ year experience in logistics operations with all modes of transport
  • Technical skills:In depth knowledge of ICC incoterms
  • Strong knowledge of US export regulations and import regulations
  • Solid understanding of foreign customs and import requirements
  • Soft skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
  • Competencies:Ability to perform under pressure in an environment of high-volume transactions,
  • Ability to plan, assign priorities and solve problems.
  • Bilingual skills required (Spanish)
  • Knowledge of various software applications (SAP, Trade sphere, Oracle, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certified
  • Minimum 5 – 8 years’ experience in complex logistics operations
  • Demonstrated leadership in a matrix environment
  • Has the confidence and perspective that comes through depth in industry and function to impact change.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States.
