You will be a key member of the Design Team responsible for DC Traction Power Supply equipment in our Electrification Division in Poland. Reporting to the Project Manager, your skills and technical expertise will contribute to a variety of design projects.

Your responsibilities

• Creating and executing 3D designs of engineering solutions, including the preparation of technical drawings of mechanical parts, calculations, bill of materials, engineering instructions and processes.
• Applying state-of-the-art design methods, tools and engineering practices to design development.
• Ensuring quality deliverables on time and within estimated cost.
• Completing risk and opportunity assessments and reporting any contract, quality, program or cost issues for resolution.
• Creating reports and related documents in accordance with internal and external requirements.
• Communicating engineering designs and processes to internal stakeholders and actively contributing in design reviews and customer project meetings.
• Collaborating with Supply Chain for input on vendor documentation, bids and evaluation of proposals, materials and equipment.
• Working closely with Product Engineers, Project Managers and Operations staff to deliver designs in a timely manner with high quality deliverables that meet customer expectations.
• Support in root cause and corrective action for errors in the design.
• Providing training and support to entry-level team members.

Your background

• A degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline.
• More than 2 years of experience in design and execution, working in design related environment with railway side equipment.
• Well-developed English language skills.
• Experience with performing 3D modeling, 2D mechanical designs.
• Strong attitude for using basic computer applications.
• Knowledge of Solid Edge tools (preferably) or other CAD tools. Initiative, creativity and great attention to detail.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
