This role will report to the ELIS IDCP Controller and partner with the ELIS IDCP finance team. In this role, you will assume ownership of multiple disciplines within the balance sheet for IDCP business.
You will be responsible for various aspects of month and quarter close process, driving operational accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis.You will be expected to partner cross functionally within Finance and outside the finance organization. In addition, this role will support the Controller and CFO with ad hoc projects.

Your responsibilities

• Serve as the Account Reconciliation leader to include reporting of metrics on a monthly basis
• This role will be the cash leader for the business to include cash application, reconciliations, bank account management and support funding requests
• This role will serve as the intercompany leader from an accounting perspective to include any required reporting responsibilities and ensure proper eliminations are recorded and reported
• Responsible for performing and submitting for approval account reconciliations for the assigned balance sheet discipline
• This position will be responsible for creating monthly & quarterly manual journal entries related to their assigned balance sheet discipline
• This position will be required to be the controllership lead and a strong partnership with FP&A and cross functionally surrounding IDCP revenue recognition accruals to systematic generated transactions
• This position will be the controllership lead for Fixed Assets to include reporting, new asset requests, retirement requests, ensure system depreciation is functioning properly and all required reporting.
• This position will play a key role in compliance with internal and SOX controls to include support and lead related audits (internal & external)
• Assist to drive controllership awareness for their related discipline.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance position.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical skills
• Project management and systems experience a plus
• Able to interact and work with remote teams
• SAP experience
• Blackline JE, Account reconciliation module experience.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States.
