Summary

The Regional Sales Specialist Productivity Systems is responsible for the sales and after sales of the Productivity Systems product line in the Territory. The incumbent is also the first liaison within the Productivity Systems team for the other Baxter teams within the Territory.

The incumbent reports to the Director Productivity Systems, Europe.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Besides sales and after sales, relation management with all existing customers, other Baxter employees and other companies and organizations are of great importance.
  • Offers the potential- and present customer, as well as others, a range of services far beyond “just selling” the Productivity Systems products and services.
  • Relays with all levels in the organization in hospitals and dispensing centers.
  • Responsible for the selling process in the described areas, including after sales and relation management.
  • The Regional Sales Specialist Productivity Systems is backed up by the European Support Group, for hardware-, software- and interface support, as well as by the Director Productivity Systems for all other support issues.
  • Sets specific objectives (PMOs) on an annual basis in consent with the Director Productivity Systems, Europe
  • Direct sales in The Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland with a secondary focus on UK and Ireland  
  • Maintains working knowledge of the entire product line, selling features and sales advantages.
  • Keeps abreast of competitive products/concepts and their features and prices.
  • Keeps apprised of all developments in the market place, e.g. policies, political- and economical influences.
  • Based on future/projected needs of (potential) customers formulates immediate and long-term objectives. Determines necessary customer contacts.
  • Designs plans to meet objectives, including who to contact, how to approach contacts and what solutions to offer. Organizes User Meetings (when applicable) and prepares attendance at Congresses and Symposia.
  • Schedules calls and visits to customers based on estimated business potential and efficient travelling.
  • Makes full use of all sales tools and –aids to promote sales and effectively conducts presentations.
  • Maintains up to date records of visits and phone calls to (potential) customers and provides the Director Productivity Systems with up to date, timely and consistent activity reports in accordance to the sales policy in Boost
  • Maintains up to date knowledge of selling- and servicing activities by customer, by item and by order number.
  • Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with professional-, technical-, and purchasing staff at the (potential) customer as well as within the Baxter organization.
  • Represents Baxter and Productivity Systems in a professional and ethical manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Scientific or medical / paramedical degree
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is a must
  • Minimum 2 years of Sales experience within Healthcare Industry / Hospital environment / medical sales
  • Preferred experience in connected devices
  • Natural Sales Talent
  • Ability to speak with all levels in the hospital organization (nurses, tech profiles, doctors, boards)
  • Helicopter view and conceptual thinking
  • Must have affinity with IT systems
  • Understanding of Logistics
  • Ability to present with personal impact
  • Strong communicator verbal and non-verbal
  • Problem solving
  • Willing to travel on a regular basis
