Global Operations Strategy Summer Intern

As the Global Operations Strategy Intern with Dell, you will be part of a hand-picked team of internal consultants with high visibility within Dell’s executive leadership team. Your primary responsibility will be to drive key strategic initiatives for the organization along with a project team.

We are looking for interns who are comfortable with a fast-paced dynamic environment, be able to clearly and concisely communicate recommendations and conclusions with the support of detailed analysis and sources, and may be asked to regularly participate in cross-functional teams in support of initiatives throughout the organization.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Collection, synthesis, communication of analytics and insights to drive strategies and decision making for executives
• Creating quality documentation for strategy discussion
• Working across the organization to shape and drive strategic agendas
• Typical strategy projects may involve but not limited to the following topics

• Optimize supply chain footprint across different product segments
• Innovate commodity procurement through thought partnering, problem solving, detailed analytics, and strategy forums
• Develop sourcing and continuity of supply strategies across key commodities
• Analyze key market trends and come up with recommendations to executives
• Develop route to market strategies with sales, marketing, and product teams
• Program manage key initiatives and drive results

Requirements:

• Undergraduate junior or first year of graduate school from top universities in the region
• Distinctive problem solving skills, analytical thinking and leadership skills
• Ability to work with cross function people as a team and a strong ownership mindset
• Able to perform specific analyses with business tools (e.g. excel modeling, power point slides) and able to generate quality results
• Internship experiences in high tech industry, consulting firms, professional service companies is a plus
