Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will mainly assist the research team for a Recycled filament materials in additive manufacturing Research Project (R&D Project R6329).
The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:
- Preparing the specimen and operating the extrusion machine;
- Conducting various experiments in the science and engineering laboratories;
- Conducting analysis on samples;
- Providing support for literature review and data analysis;
- Working with the Principal Investigators / supervisors to prepare report writing; and
- Conducting other research activities as instructed by the Principal Investigator.
Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Testing and Certification / Mechanical Engineering / Product Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline;
- Research experience in 3D printing;
- Strong sense of responsibility, effective organization and interpersonal skills;
- Very good command of English and Chinese; and
- Preference will be given to those who are familiar with statistical tests.
Compensation Package
Competitive compensation package including basic salary and end-of-contract gratuity will be provided to the right candidate. Fringe benefits such as annual leave, staff development leave, staff learning and development sponsorship and medical & dental benefits will also be provided.
