JOB DESCRIPTION 

• The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Industrial/Product Design, with a minimum one year experience.
• You must be comfortable working alone or within a group and be fast & efficient: This job requires a high level of communication/cooperation.
• Primary design work is for sport, leisure, toys & children's products.

REQUIREMENTS

• MINIMUM of 4+ years’ experience in Product design with a BFA DEGREE or equivalent
• FLUENCY in ENGLISH and MANDARIN
• STRONG IDEATION SKILLS and HAND DRAWING SKILLS
• ABILITY to DEFINE AND DOCUMENT IDEAS for proper communication to team and through the manufacturing process into the retail market
• CAPABILITY TO UNDERSTAND and PROBLEM SOLVING and able to convey the idea of how things are made, the development process as well as the making of the final product.
• General understanding of the DEVELOPMENT PROCESS: Ideation, Sketching, Rendering, Prototyping, Mold Making, Plastic casting, Model Building, etc.
• UNDERSTANDING of USA and INTERNATIONAL RETAIL Consumer markets and buying knowledge a plus

DESIGN SKILLS

• Strong visualization, conceptualization, ideation, illustration, sketching, drawing, rendering, prototyping, molding, plastic casting
• Model building, marker, photography skills. A good understanding of materials and processes is important.

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Develop concepts from sketch to 3D
• 3DS Max
• AUTO CAD
• RHINO
• FormZ
• ProE
• Solid Works
• Maya
• Vellum
• MS Office
• ADOBE Suite - Mainly Photoshop and Illustrator.
• POWERPOINT

Also helpful abilities to have:

• Graphic design ability
• Illustration, layout capabilities
• Photography
• USA / EUROPEAN / International Experience, Education or travel.
