Job Description

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Scientist, are to: 

 

  • Provide dietary safety expertise required to develop, maintain and defend product registrations of BCS products;
  • Design, evaluate and disseminate product-related dietary exposure and risk Information in support of NAFTA business operations ensuring continued product registrations, consumer protection and compliance with governmental regulations and critically evaluate and summarize data across study types and sources to develop a dietary exposure and risk profile;
  • Provide technical contributions to accelerate our efforts on building an analytics-driven database management, statistical analysis, probabilistic model analysis, consumption and monitoring data analysis, trade flow and trade enablement to support BCS scientific, customer, stewardship, legal, sustainability and communications initiatives;
  • Asses needs and recommend experiments and projects, suggest new algorithmic development, drive tactical decisions about approaches and needed data;
  • Coordinate dietary safety activities with in NAFTA, global, ES, SEEDS and other product business units to ensure that North American risk concerns are fully integrated into global development and driving the resolution of any issues;
  • Participate in trade enabling practices and initiatives;
  • Communicate BCS positions, strategies and objectives to relevant regional stakeholders and global counterparts;
  • Represent human safety on local BCS working groups and initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • B.S.in Data Science, Public Health, Physical or Natural Sciences with at least 10 years of relevant experience OR M.S.in Data Science, Public Health, Physical or Natural Sciences with at least eight years of relevant experience OR Ph.D. in Data Science, Public Health, Physical or Natural Sciences with at least four years of relevant experience;
  • Identify and solve technical challenges;
  • Database, statistical and computer modeling skills;
  • Be a critical thinker;
  • Adjust quickly to changing priorities in a variety of situations;
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.

 

 

Relocation may be offered for this role.
