Executive Officer (Ref. 20200715-EO)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) assist the Executive Board of the Society in handling administrative and secretarial matters;
(b) prepare various publications, including policy papers, marketing and publicity materials;
(c) organize/coordinate scholarly activities and events;
(d) update website and social media platforms with the assistance of a technician;
(e) liaise with external partners and other professional learned societies;
(f) handle membership drive and enquiries from the members of the Society and the public;
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Chair of the Society or her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a Bachelor’s degree or above;
(b) at least two years of relevant post-qualification experience with a good track record in research administration in non-profit organizations, higher education or a related field;
(c) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(d) good computer literacy, including Chinese word processing, PowerPoint and Excel; and
(e) high analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently within a team.
Preference will be given to those with solid programme administration experience in tertiary education, NGOs or business in Hong Kong. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package including 20-day annual leave and conference grant will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
