We have an opportunity for a Medical Science Liaison in the Oncology therapeutic area based in Athens
This position reports to the Medical Lead Oncology/Hematology.
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a role within Medical Team Unit of Medical Dpt, with the responsibility to implement the medical plan in the field, supporting AZ’s products through scientific and therapeutic expertise. The MSL has deep content knowledge about specific disease states, available products, and investigational compounds, as well as detailed knowledge about research, regulatory and medical education environments, and related processes.
The Medical Science Liaison role is key to the facilitation of scientific exchange between AstraZeneca and the Scientific Expert community, with the opportunity to improve patient outcomes by providing needed information that addresses important clinical and scientific questions.
The successful candidate profile should:
- A BSc degree in health sciences (having a PharmD, M.D., Ph.D. in a medically related field will be preferable) required with solid relevant clinical or therapeutic experience desired.
- Previous pharmaceutical industry experience within Medical Affairs preferred
- Knowledge of therapeutic area disease state and treatment
- Project management / cross-functional skills / execution
- Be a natural team player with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Be a driven and energetic person with a strong sense of ownership
- Previous pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
