The SDL Senior Security Engineer is responsible for handling security tasks for significant large IT projects for its cloud hosted solutions. This person is expected to effectively liaise with other functional and business professionals across the SDL community. This candidate will be a key member of security team who are focused on understand, design and implement the security requirements to Cloud Operations and our external client facing operations team.

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

•     Knowledge in range of security areas including networking, server, cloud based technologies.

•     Skills and knowledge in executing and documenting vulnerability scans. (Example: Nessus or Qualys or any other industry standard tools)

•     Skills and experience in working with Linux and Windows operating systems for hardening and security testing.

•     Skills and knowledge in security monitoring.

•     Have successfully completed a CEH certification.

•     Provide support, and training to the larger SDL organization and functions as required.

•     Support RFX/pre-sales process and support client-specific meetings (including audits) when required.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Technical skills and experience:

 

  • 3 + years of information security experience.
  • Proven experience working on large government projects in an Operational environment
  • Skills and experience in working with Linux and Windows operating systems for hardening and security testing.
  • Any IDS/IPS and Log aggregation tool experience.
  • Have successfully completed CEH or CompTIA Security+, any other industry standard security certification.
  • Experience on Identify and Access Management technologies. 
  • Experience on Endpoint Protection Software.
  • Knowledge of HSM and DLP will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support the development of information security policies and practices that align with customer requirements.
  • Create security documents, designing SOPs, reporting findings and tracking them to closure by working with related parties.
  • Provide security consultancy/advice to other teams as needed.
  • Contribute to working groups including security best practices, analysis & design security flows.
  • Create, manage and follow security processes and procedures to support the Cloud Operations business.
  • Support Security Incident Management activities as related to the project and internal infrastructure and application.
  • Understands the project security requirements and convert the requirements into business deliverables.
  • Delivery of key security management activities:
  • Information Security Documentation Preparation
  • Security Requirements Gathering

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Technical skills and experience:

 

  • 6 + years of information security experience.
  • Must have Vulnerability Management experience.
  • Proven experience working on large government projects in an Operational environment
  • Skills and experience in working with Linux and Windows operating systems for hardening and security testing.
  • Any IDS/IPS and Log aggregation tool experience.
  • Experience on certificate management
  • Have successfully completed CEH or CompTIA Security+, any other industry standard security certification.
  • Knowledge of industry standards like ISO 27001 will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure or Alibaba) will be an added advantage.
  • Experience on Identify and Access Management technologies. 
  • Experience on Endpoint Protection Software.
  • Knowledge of HSM and DLP will be an added advantage.
  • Security certifications such as ECSA, ISO27001 will be an added advantage
