Job description: Editor, Lifestyle Asia

Position statement:

Lifestyle Asia is looking for an English writer and editor with experience covering luxury watches and jewellery, food and travel in Hong Kong. Reporting to the Managing Editor, the candidate will write and publish articles on a daily basis, and work towards digital KPIs to produce high quality content for our readers.

Responsibilities:

- Write daily, SEO-friendly online articles that are relevant to our audience and fulfil content KPIs

- Contribute to the day-to-day website operations and its social media channels

- Represent the Lifestyle Asia brand at high-profile events including media tastings, press previews, exclusive interviews, etc.

- Establish relations with content contributors and find innovative solutions to create new content on the site

- Generating ideas for new editorial content and projects, as well as creative ways to cover sponsored content

- Executing sponsored content for clients

Requirements:

- Excellent writing and communication skills in English

- Broad interest, knowledge and network in the world of luxury lifestyle, particularly in the fields of watches and jewellery, food and beverage; knowledge around the Hong Kong arts scene and regional travel and wellness landscape is a plus

- Possess at least 3-5 years’ experience in digital media in Asia

- Proven track record of writing engaging, well-researched, SEO-friendly stories and headlines.

- Detail-oriented, resourceful and can work fast under daily deadlines

- Ability to optimise content for all distribution channels (Google, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

- Experience using Content Management Systems such as Wordpress

- Knowledge of analytics tools such as Parse.ly and Google Analytics

- Working ability of image editing software

Other skills that will be an added advantage include:

- Practical knowledge of video production/editing

- Spoken and/or written Chinese proficiency
