•Generate seasonal sourcing brief with Design team to send out to mills
•Visit mills and shows when required for market intelligence and sourcing
•Build supply bases (mills contacts) in China, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Taiwan, Korea etc with strong focus on developing sources other than China.
•Collect market intelligence with mills on regular bases for their new innovations, popular and best selling items and relate these information to Design team and Business Heads
•Handle sourcing requests from design team & customers to arrange collections accordingly.
•Work with Sales and Design teams to identify the best route for the fabric production country based on customers’ requirements i.e cost, lead time, duty etc
•Work closely with fabric teams in China and Bangladesh on sourcing requests
•Initial risk analysis on sourcing request, to eliminate potential risk at production stage
•Liase with design, mill and PD team for any special sample yardage development requests
•Liaise fabric details & initial costing information and hand over to fabric production team for costing and shipping management
•Maintain fabric development budget & negotiate fabric development cost
•Create & maintain fabric data base & fabric library in HK office
• Report to Indian Boss
