This is an R&D Engineer role, reporting to R&D Team Manager in Business Area Robotics and Discrete Automation.

Your responsibilities

• Being responsible for Paint/Industrial robot products improvement in R&D department.
• Mastering of robot mechanical structure and analyzing the problem and initiating correction and preventive actions, including analysis report, verification of causes, update 3D/2D drawings, verification of solutions etc..
• Following up the field failures and solving the major issues for the responsible robots.
• Leading quality improvement project with cross function team to solve the quality issues.
• Providing general technical support to customer and production for the responsible robots.
• Transferring lessons learned to new product development projects.

Your background

• A master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ mechanical design experience in related projects (college or company work experience).
• Must have experience in mechanical design, preferably for HD gearbox, bearing, sealing, cable harness, etc. including material selection /design /test /improvement and electromechanical product development / improvement project.
• Good knowledge of Paint robot/application products and Ex (Explosion proof) is a plus.
• Must be skillful with quality control method, root cause analysis method and Lean 6 sigma GB.
• Must have strong problem-solving ability, good communication skills for the cross-function work.
• Be familiar with SolidWorks and SAP ERP system.
• Fluency in oral and written English communication and must be self-motivated and able to work in a project team.
