Job Description
we need a native math and science teacher in a public high school in guangzhou urgently.


We are currently looking for well qualified instructors to teach PGA program in mainland China. PGA refers to Project of Global Access, introduces advanced international curriculum, teaching method and management style to be mixed with standard Chinese senior middle school curriculums. The program is designed to promote the international education collaboration, to support the Chinese educational reform, and to provide our students the opportunity to showcase their talents on a global stage.
our school has been working with 22 prestige senior middle schools, enrolled nearly two thousand and five hundred students in the PGA program in the past five years. These partner schools are well-known by locals and each ranked as top five institutions in their cities and provinces. Feb, 2013, we will have a PGA teaching position open in Chengdu.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Conduct minimum of 20 course loads every week, each course load consists of 45-50 minutes of class teaching time.

• Offer 4-10 hours of Office Schedule per week, assist students with questions related to lectures or assignments.

• Use designed PGA course materials, ensure required course objectives are accomplished as scheduled. Promptly advise school officials with actual or potential changes to the teaching plan.

• Evaluate student progress, provide ongoing guidance for improvement of curriculum design, training materials, instructional delivery needs.

• Carry out projects in an effective, professional manner.

• Accurately monitor and update all student records

• Effectively disseminate administrative information in an accurate and timely manner.

• Other responsibilities may be assigned based on the course needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A genuine interest in teaching, education and self-development, and desire to improve learning outcomes and student experiences.

• BA degree with preferred majors in ESL, English, Math & Sciences, Education, and Business.

• Minimum of two years of work experience related to the field of education.

Desired Qualifications:

• Desired candidate may obtain a degree or a certificate in one of the following disciplines: Teaching English to Speaker of Other Languages (TESOL)/Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL)/Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL); English as a Second Language (ESL)/English as a Foreign Language (EFL).

• Experiences with teaching or tutoring students in preparation for ACT or SAT test.

• Professional knowledge of the English language, able to teach grammar, writing techniques in high school level.



Employment Compensation Package:

•Competitive salary based on the national standard for foreign instructors.14000---17000rmb per month

Higher income is determined by individual’s education, experiences and other qualifications. Instructors will also receive extra stipend if overload credits are assigned.

•The following accommodations are provided free of charge:

ØFully furnished one bedroom apartment (equipped with TV, telephone, wash machine, refrigerator, microwave, air conditioner, heating and shower unit)

•International airfare: reimburse one round-trip airfare up to amount of 8,000 RMB with completion of the 10-month contract.

•Travel allowance: up to 2200 RMB travel allowance will be provided upon completion of the 10-month contract.

•Insurance: comprehensive medical and accidental insurance coverage based on the national standard for foreign workers.

•Paid vacation: a paid winter vacation around 3 to 4 weeks (from mid-January to early February) with base income of 5,000 RMB.

•Sponsor for a Z visa: based on the country's foreign employment regulations, teachers are required to obtain a working Z-visa prior to their arrival.

Contract Commitment:

Selected instructors are required to complete the 10-month contract. The length of the contract this year is from August 31, 2013 to June 30, 2014. Instructors are also required to arrive in Beijing one week prior to the beginning of the contract to receive proper training. Renewal of the second year contract will be determined by the mutual satisfaction of the work performance, and proper salary increase can be negotiated.
