Program overview:

Honeywell China Career Development Program is an intensive two-year on-job development program for fresh university graduates who have a passion for technology and shared core values with Honeywell. The program, consisting of three rotational assignments in fields of Engineering and Technology (E&T), Commercial Functions and Integrated Supply Chain/Factory, is designed to advance young talents’ technical knowledge, develop fundamental leadership skills and help determine the long-term career path with Honeywell.

The program, with assignments driven by Honeywell business priorities, will help the trainees quickly immerse to the business environment and earn valuable industry experience along with the rapid growth of Honeywell as the diverse high-tech industrial leader globally.

Description

The Engineer will work in a global team and be required to specify, design and develop innovative and reliable analogue, digital designs to satisfy functional specifications that are fit for production at lowest cost. The position will be fully responsible for the developments and designs for industry automation systems and instruments in conjunction with global teams. To ensure quality, it is essential that at every stage of the program, the appropriate documents are created and maintained in accordance with company procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Research and Development for industry automation systems - controller, input/output modules and field instruments.

• Participate in all stages of development from requirements analysis, concept design, detail design, prototype build, qualification, ECN release under a tight release schedule.

• Perform root cause analyses.

• At request, support Sales & Service, Marketing and Operations in the form of advice and analysis.

• Write documents including internal development documents and user documents.

• Estimating, planning, and executing of technical tasks.

Skills:

• Excellent understanding of analog, digital and power supply design fundamentals.
• Thorough knowledge of microcontroller and microprocessor designs.
• CAD using Mentor Graphic tool or equivalent.
• Experience in designing and testing for EMC is a plus.
• Hand on FPGA/CPLD programming experience is a plus.
• Firmware on hand experience is also preferred and a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and understanding of the oil and gas industries and relevant standards for intrinsic explosion safety (a.o. ATEX) is a plus.
• Ability to follow design and development processes, structured approach.

Qualifications

• Master Degree in Automation, Electronic, Instrument, or Communication.
• Major courses include Analog Circuit, Digital Circuit, Automatic Control Theory, Signal and System.
• Self-motivated and team oriented personality.
• Good English communication (speaking and writing) skill.
• Interested in working in fast paced, global business environment.
• Able to work and travel in global collaborating environment with intensive challenges.
