Emerging Leaders Program The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is one way we are seeking to recruit, develop and retain 26 high-potential, emerging leaders who are prepared and positioned to contribute to the successful execution of BNY Mellon’s business strategy. ELP is a one-year rotational development program offered through BNY Mellon Leadership Pathways. Program at A Glance: three 14 – 16 week rotation assignments within identified lines of business/functional areas* that combine learning with skill development through practical work and strategic projects; extensive in-person and virtual training curriculum and ongoing learning assignments that will help develop technical, professional, interpersonal and leadership skills; and career development and networking support from a host of corporate leaders including executive mentors, peer mentors, business stakeholders and a dedicated program manager. *Functional tracks include Asset Servicing & Digital, Audit, Clearance & Collateral Management, Human Resources, Investment Management, Markets, Pershing, Risk & Compliance, Treasury Services and Wealth Management. Upon successful completion of the program and based on overall business need, ELP analysts will be matched to a full-time role within their functional track, taking into account factors such as business requirements, analyst preferences and overall performance throughout the program. The 2022 ELP will begin in August 2022. The Campus & Emerging Talent Programs team will primarily fill the 2022 ELP class with high-performing participants from the 2021 Summer Analyst Program (SAP). Program Locations (an individual’s rotations and placements remain within one location): US: New York, NY * Jersey City, NJ * Boston, MA * Philadelphia, PA * Pittsburgh, PA EMEA: London * Manchester Program Highlights: Small, selective program size that allows for more personal attention and support; Participants can enhance leadership skills, build networks across the organization and accelerate their careers; Robust onboarding and training curriculum designed specifically for ELP analysts; Opportunity to gain a deep understanding of a targeted function while developing knowledge of how the company and financial markets work through a mix of targeted in-classroom learning that cultivates business acumen and leadership skills along with on-the-job business rotational assignments and a strategic business challenge. Visibility and exposure to senior leaders in small cohorts and/or one-to-one meetings; Full commitment from top-level management to make our program the premier talent pipeline program within the financial services industry Qualifications Program Eligibility: If an internal employee would like to be considered for ELP, he or she must meet the following eligibility requirements: • Current performance rating of “Exceeds Expectations” or “Extraordinary” (2017 year-end performance assessments will be reviewed to confirm rating); • Employed with BNY Mellon for fewer than two years at time of application or obtained bachelor’s degree within the past two years; • Minimum bachelor’s degree GPA of 3.2 or better; • Not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the region where they apply; • A letter of recommendation from the employee’s reports-to manager or skip-level manager.
