Purpose of the Position:
Under general supervision, provide support in the business process implementation of the Daimler global Supply Chain IT solution for CKD production “Daimler GSS+/PHI system” and be the responsible interface to the local IT project team to ensure all required processes are in line with local supply chain requirements. 
 
 
Essential Functions:  (List all basic responsibilities related to the purpose of the position)
 
- Providing leadership and support for project work packages

- Establishing and maintaining effective on-going communication within the supply chain and IT organizations

- Analyzing and improving the business processes Analyzing and improving the business processes.

- Developing system requirements documents

- Managing requests for new system processes

- Providing system testing support

- Support and advise the internal customer while forming an effective interface between the business department and IT, i.e. consult with business manager to develop solutions to meet business needs.

- Define the value and business benefits of services from the system GSS+/PHI. Identify opportunities for business process improvements.

- Understand the Daimler GSS+/PHI and other technology trends in order to administer recommendations and solutions that meet the business needs as appropriate.

- Serve as facilitator between Business and IT, identifying and utilizing synergies across the Supply Chain and IT organizations.

- Support business requirement specification process.

- Conduct research, data collection, and analysis to prepare, present and deliver recommendations and solutions to supply chain management.

- Ensure that documentation relating to business processes is accurate, complete and maintained.

- Coordinate and/or conduct all types of application testing as needed.

- Support IT in coordinating all integration-testing with end users.

- Coordinate and participate in development of structured walk-throughs (system demonstrations and training) to the users.

- Maintain system expert knowledge of the Daimler GSS+/PHI system to guide its development and all aspects related to business functional units supported. Keep up with industry trends in supported business units and related disciplines.

- Support IT in coordinating all integration-testing with end users.

- Execute special project requests as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.
 
Education:   Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Engineering, IT or related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience
 
Experience: A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the functional area, preferably in the automotive industry.  One of the four years should contain experience supporting Supply Chain business processes within the business or information technology functions. 
 
Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
• Strong computer systems skills
• Well-developed analytical skills and sound business judgement
• Ability to think strategically and establish direction
• Team player with ability to resolve issues both business and technical
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to adapt and adjust to changing schedules to meet project requirements and milestones
• Technically competent with various software programs, such as MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Solid working knowledge of current SAP ERP system
