Purpose of the Position: Under general supervision, this position conducts parts readiness status reviews with internal departments, module group speakers, and parts suppliers.  Provide status to Work Group Critical parts and Project status meetings.  
 
Essential Functions:  (List all basic responsibilities related to the purpose of the position)
Develop action plans to achieve part maturity and quality readiness for launch.
Plan, coordinate, and facilitate Commodity Localization Team meetings. 
Ensure close communication and alignment with involved partners (e.g. Module Group Speaker, Work Group critical Parts, LQI, LOG, Capacity Manager, MQI’s, R&D, etc.)
Plan and arrange regular communication (weekly, monthly) with suppliers and if necessary with sub-suppliers and toolmakers for localized parts. 
Ensure that the project milestones are met (part and tool). 
Ensures cross-functional support of local suppliers. 
Report and escalate issues/risks to the management committees within the plant and Work Group Critical Parts. 
Ensures initiation of measures to address deviations which impact the achievement of project milestones.
Communicate internally during ramp up for localized parts. 
Presentation of quality projects status to steering committees: PPAR curves, SDR’s, etc.
Prepare and organize special events and workshops (i.e. PPAP executive workshops, show car parts buy-off). 
Act as the key contact for business internal and external business partners.
Define and coordinate new project introduction strategies for supplier quality activities.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Engineering or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related role such as Project Management, Commodity Localization, Capacity Management, Supplier Management, Supply Chain, etc. within an automotive manufacturing environment. 

Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:   
Personal computer competency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)  
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required

Preferred Skills:  
German language skills
Experience in using SAP
