Under general supervision, this position manages the medium and long term balance of customer demand and supplier capacity to ensure market requirements are met and to maintain uninterrupted production. Duties and responsibilities Option Code Implementation
Analyze Product Overview documentation changes to establish plausibility and validity dates.
Audit Product Overview and Vehicles to ensure buildability.
Manage changes in market packaging or options codes to insure timely implementation and uninterrupted production.
Coordinate option code timing, analyze code dependencies, technical dependencies, etc. and update systems according to introduction date status.
Option Code / Demand- Capacity Management
Align with Sales and internal departments for option codes requiring capacity restrictions.
Analyze demand and GOP / AP trends/stability and develop countermeasures to ensure stable production.
Prepare and present code related issues to various levels of Management, understanding the unique problems and timing associated with each restriction topic.
Manage complexity reduction activities as required.
Code capacity planning and monitoring codes on the sales forecast (GOP / AP) horizon, including maintaining restrictions in restriction monitoring system (Vokus).
Lead task force activities around demand-capacity topics in conjunction with material planners and the capacity management groups to prevent interruption to production.
Pre- Series Code Management
Develop pre-Series options code launch packages, as well as Series option code introduction (PEM) strategies.
Analyze market introduction option plans and coordinate supplier’s capacities and sales requirements.
Manage the introduction timing of product overview changes to ensure trial requirements are met.
Sales Forecast analysis
Analyzing the Sales forecast to review changes with every forecast run and comparison of the forecast with the real orders delivered to the plant.
Determining the impact of the changes in the Sales forecast to the plant in terms of material supply.
Leading discussions with MAterial planning and the supplier management groups to determine production impact and coordinating countermeasures.
Demand Generation and Analysis (TBE)
Use the Sales forecast (GOP / AP) and run it against the aligned production program to generate part demand.
Analyze the results and represent Plant Tuscaloosa (W138) in a cross-functional global group to address any topics / issues / escalations and to accept or reject the run based on the analysis.
Serve as a second level escalation for demand related topics and lead discussions and problem solving activities with the material planners and supplier management groups.
Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
(All qualifications must be met in order to qualify for the job) Minimum level of education
(Note: Engineering and/or IT MUST require technical degrees) This position requires a Bachelor's degree in (Choose all the apply): Supply Chain/Operations Management Information Technology/Management Information Systems (MIS) Or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional Experience Co-Op/ internship and/ or up to 2 years' professional experience in the following area(s): Supply Chain Management, Material resource planning, Engineering change / project controlling, project management, systems / methods / processes or related areas. Cross-functional work experience dealing with supplier related topics
Data analysis using Excel, Access, or other tools.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint etc.)
General knowledge of Bill of Material Applications
General knowledge of Product Documentation structures
Preferred skills
(These skills are not essential but useful) German language skills
Knowledge of DIALOG, TBE, Vokus, CAA, eWPP, MRS, SAP, NCM, BKM, ePortal
Knowledge of Marketing and Sales order systems and processes, ISPD, AFAB, PAD, etc.
Understanding of changes within MP and VP, help identify corrections for Equipment List, Launch packages, systems, etc.
Knowledge of vehicle data and variant table structures.
Knowledge of Product Overview documentation and data structure
Understanding of adding code rules (Zusteuerung), overall check rules (Pauschale), and order plausibility (Baubarkeit) rules
