Job Description
Eaton’s CPDI Division is currently seeking a Production Team Lead on 2nd shift to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina at the RPO facility. Overview: The Production Team Lead will lead and work alongside the Production Supervisor to ensure the team is well equipped to achieve production metrics in support of achieving the Plant High 5 goals. In this role you: Responsible for inspecting products for conformance by using assembly instructions, manufacturing orders and checklists at the quality level mandated by the company/product line. Lead root cause analysis for quality defects. Interface regularly with the production planner and material handlers to ensure all resources needed to meet customer commitments are available. Maintain consistent/quality production output by coordinating and assigning daily work Manage the work center production boards on an hourly basis to ensure production is meeting target output levels adjusting resources to meet business need Represent production work centers in daily production meetings as needed and highlight any issues affecting production Inform manufacturing engineering representative of an BOM inaccuracies. Provide support for updates of standardized work. Report any issues or problems affecting quality or product delivery to necessary departments Assist in training of new employees. Maintain training records for production team. Able to perform all build functions within work cell. Adheres to and promotes all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions. Brings key issue to attention of management team and assists in determining solutions. Use the principles of 5S to ensure a clean and organized work area. Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork (ELSS, EQS, etc). Lead Kaizen events in within and across production team. Perform other duties as required Qualifications Basic (Required) Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school. Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Relocation assistance is not available for this position only candidates within a 50 mile radius of the facility will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Good communication and interpersonal skills Experience using SAP Basic understanding of Microsoft applications Position Criteria: Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
