Finance Controller

Job Description
The current controller will return to Europe in June. Schoolhouse Hotels plans rapid expansion requiring a controller with strong experience in the hotel industry in China. This position will report to the CFO.
Duties
Employee shall perform the following duties full-time and exclusively. The work schedule shall be based in Beijing at the Beijing Operations Office (BOO) and shall be for 5 to 6 days per week with Employee expected to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. About one or two days per week in Mutianyu will be required and there will also be significant travel in the future.
1. Ensure timely and accurate generation of monthly enterprise financial statements for SIC, MSR, BYD, and other domestic entities and monitor tax payments.
2. Supervise bookkeeping staff based in BOO.
3. Manage SIC petty cash, banking transactions, and enterprise reporting and filing and tax payments.
4. Manage related offshore entity bank accounts and annual registration and filings.
5. Coordinate SIC and other entity HR and payroll with HR department
6. Coordinate outsourced internal audits and annual outside audits.
7. Ensure timely and accurate generation of consolidated management accounting reporting on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
8. Manage external communications and periodic reporting to outside business partners in English.
9. Coordinate with local entity finance managers.
10. Conduct audits and evaluations of local entity procurement and inventories.
11. Prepare valued-added analyses of entity costs.
12. Coordinate on business planning.
13. Participate in sales presentations, seminars, and site visits in Mutianyu as required. Every person on our team is a salesperson.
14. Master the SIC/MSR mission, sustainability principles, brands, and products.
15. Other work as assigned.
The scope of duties will be adjusted based on SIC requirements.
Duties may be modified by SIC at its option.

Desired Skills and Experience
Required Skillset and Background
Relevant educational and professional credentials
10 or more years working experience with continuous growth demonstrated
Familiarity with Uniform Accounting used in hospitality industry
Familiarity with Chinese Yongyou accounting software helpful
Operate productively in a small company environment
Lead dedicated team of professionals
Plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Develop department budget and track implementation
Computer and internet literate
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Chinese written and oral ability required
English also very helpful
